2025 Year in Review

Rainwater Construction Company 2025 Year in Review

For Rainwater Construction, 2025 was a year defined by momentum. It was a year of tackling complex PEMB and steel erection projects, strengthening client partnerships, and growing our team—all while preparing for a major achievement in 2026 – Rainwater’s 70th anniversary. As we approach this coming milestone, seven decades in the making, the story of this year mirrors the story of our company itself: steady, reliable, and built on a foundation of relationships and trust. This Year in Review highlights the wins, the people, and the projects that shaped 2025 and set the stage for a strong start to our next decade of service.

Awards – Rainwater Earns AC478 Accreditation

RAINWATER-AC478-ACCREDITATION

Earning the IAS AC478 accreditation was one of Rainwater Construction’s most meaningful accomplishments of 2025. This nationally recognized program—considered the gold standard for metal building assembler quality—requires rigorous third-party audits of safety practices, training, management processes, documentation, and field execution.

Achieving this accreditation is a clear signal to clients that Rainwater meets the highest benchmarks in the industry for professionalism, consistency, and jobsite performance. For our team, it validates decades of disciplined PEMB erection expertise and reinforces our commitment to delivering buildings that are safe, durable, and constructed the right way. As we head into our 70th anniversary year, AC478 stands as both a milestone earned and a standard we intend to uphold on every project.

Ben Rainwater Retirement Honor

Ben Rainwater

On January 8 – which would have been his 73rd birthday, The Rainwater Construction team honored the memory and celebrated the incredible life of C. Ben Rainwater, who passed on December 17, 2024.

Ben succeeded his father, Cecil B. Rainwater, as President of Rainwater Construction Company in 1991. During his tenure, he made a tremendous impact on the commercial construction industry, fellow Butler builders, and all of Rainwater’s long-standing customers. Ben embraced every dimension of life with passion and purpose – from competitive pickleball matches and cherished golf rounds with childhood friends to exploring the world and creating memories with family. Ben’s greatest gift to the Rainwater Construction family was his constant encouragement to live fully, explore widely, and grow personally, knowing that professional success would naturally follow.

While his sudden passing left us shocked and heartbroken, Ben’s vibrant life stands as a powerful reminder to treasure each moment and live with the intention and enthusiasm he showed us each day.

Ora Nation

Ora Nation

Rainwater Construction suffered a tremendous loss with the passing of longtime team member and friend, Ora Nation on December 26, 2025. Ora’s career was so deeply woven into the history of Rainwater that it’s impossible to tell our company’s story without telling his. Ora joined Rainwater at 18 and dedicated an extraordinary 67 years to our mission, building not just structures but a legacy of craftsmanship, leadership, and loyalty.

Rising from the field to lead steel erection and concrete crews, then into management and ultimately serving as a trusted building consultant in sales, Ora brought a calm presence, deep institutional knowledge, and unwavering work ethic to every role he held. Known for his steady character and quiet strength, he worked with passion and purpose, embodying the values that have defined Rainwater for generations—commitment, integrity, and pride in a job done right.

His career stands as a rare and powerful testament to what lifelong dedication looks like, and his impact will continue to shape the company for years to come.
